Biography of Christopher Po W'91

Christopher PoAs Managing Director, Chris set up the Asian office of Guggenheim Partners (www.guggenheimpartners.com) in Hong Kong. Guggenheim Partners is a multi-family office/financial services firm with the Guggenheim Family of U.S. industrialists and philanthropists as one of the anchor families and shareholders. The firm supervises over US$ 100 billion in assets with principal offices in New York, Chicago, Miami, St. Louis, Santa Monica, London, Geneva, and Hong Kong.

Concurrently, he is CEO of the Century Pacific Group (CPG) (www.centurypacific.com.ph). CPG is his family’s food and dairy enterprise based primarily in the Philippines but conducting business in China, the U.S., Europe, Japan, and the Middle East.

Previously, Chris was the head of Corporate Planning and Development at JG Summit Holdings (www.jgsummit.com.ph), a publicly-listed Philippine-based Asian conglomerate majority owned by the Gokongwei family with US$ 4.5 billion in assets and interests in food and beverage, banking, telecommunications, airlines, petrochemicals, real estate, hotels, and textiles.

He formerly also worked as a management consultant at McKinsey and Company’s Hong Kong and Manila offices and was involved primarily in corporate finance, financial strategy, and mergers and acquisitions.

He earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and completed his undergraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a B.S.E. in Finance from the Wharton School, and a B.A.S. majoring in Systems Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

He serves as Chairman of CF Foundation, a non-profit that supports the educational needs of underprivileged youth in the Philippines as well as Advisory Board member of Bantay Bata Children’s Village, a shelter for abused children.
